Dooshima has a natural belief that there is nothing she can’t accomplish.

Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Dooshima graduated from high school at the age of 16, from university with an undergraduate degree at the age of 21, and is currently pursuing her post-graduate diploma for marketing and data analytics at Okanagan College at the age of 23.

“My education and work have always advanced throughout my life. I have no intention of stopping here, but rather to continue climbing to greater heights.”

Dooshima now lives in Kelowna and works as a Student Data Analyst at Interior Health.

Dooshima enjoying outdoor time

Dooshima says her love of data science and analytics comes naturally to her.

“My parents always made me play with numbers (arithmetic) while I was young and that grew on me. Later on in life I came across statistics and my love hasn't stop growing for this field of study/career.”

Looking ahead, Dooshima plans to continue learning, advancing in career and education, and gaining a vast knowledge of her chosen field of study, which might help the world or a single life.

“I consider myself a goal-setter,” she says. “I intend to pursue my masters in quantitative and predictive modeling or artificial intelligence in the next few years. Some things may take longer than intended, but I believe that if I keep my faith in God, I can do anything.”

Outside of work, Dooshima enjoys nature walks, running and cooking. She also takes a moment every morning to dance alone in front of her mirror.
