Pay transparency
In May 2023, the Government of British Columbia passed the Pay Transparency Act to help identify and close gender pay gaps in B.C. Under this new legislation, Interior Health and other health authorities are required to produce and post annual pay transparency reports, focused on gender-based pay equity as an important step in identifying and addressing potential pay equity gaps.
Employees are given an opportunity provide their identified gender, which can be updated at any time and will be pulled in October of each year to meet the reporting timelines.
