Neurodiagnostics
Specialists use Neurodiagnostic Services (Electrodiagnostics) equipment to perform a number of procedures such as using electrodes (sensors) to record electrical activity of the brain, nerves and spinal cord. Some procedures use breathing belts, heart and oxygen sensors.
Neurodiagnostic services include:
- Electroencephalography (EEG)
- Visual Evoked Potential (VEP)
- Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER)
- Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SEP)
- Electroretinogram (ERG)
- Electro-oculogram (EOG)
- Videonystagmogram (VNG)
- Polysomnogram (PSG)
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Electromyography (EMG)
