Our audiology staff provides Early Hearing program services including general audiological screening, diagnostic and rehabilitative services; technical services; and supervision of technical staff to clients ranging from newborn to 19 years of age. Health promotion activities include liaison, counselling, and educational sessions with clients, families, community partners, and professionals.
Dietitians are members of a multidisciplinary health care team and provide nutrition care and support to patients and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures. They utilize clinical techniques and knowledge through nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention; goal setting and monitoring; counselling and education programs; consultation and communication with the multidisciplinary care teams; and act as a resource to other health professionals and communities within IH.
There are Clinical Dietitian opportunities in both the acute care and community care settings across the IH region. Together with the other members of the nutrition program, dietitians are responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating programs which help promote nutritional health and reduce the risk of nutrition-related diseases and other food/feeding-related health issues.
