MyHealthPortal is an online tool that provides you with secure 24/7 access to your personal health information from a computer, tablet or smartphone.

MyHealthPortal is an online tool you can use on a desktop, tablet or smartphone. It provides you secure, 24/7 access to your personal health information.
With MyHealthPortal, you can access and view:
- Lab results
- Medical imaging reports, such as x-rays, CT and ultrasound scans
- Certain transcribed reports from physicians, nurse practitioners and midwives
- Your visit history
- Certain appointment details and instructions
You can also:
- Self-schedule an x-ray appointment
- View and update allergies, your address, phone number and contact information, as well as shared or proxy access to your account

How to sign up for MyHealthPortal
To sign up for a MyHealthPortal account, you must be:
- A patient within the Interior Health region of B.C.
- Be 19 years or older
- Have an email address entered into your electronic patient record
When you sign up, there may be some special circumstances to be aware of. Choose from the topics that apply to you below:
When you show your BC Services Card, driver’s licence with personal health number, or your health services card, and provide your email at patient registration in one of the participating Interior Health facilities, you’ll receive an email allowing you to complete your registration. You will have 12 hours to complete your enrolment once you receive the email.
If you didn't receive your email, or if you don't complete your enrolment within the 12-hour time window, you will need to phone our Digital Health Support line toll-free 1-844-870-4756. We’re open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST, excluding statutory holidays.
To sign up:
- Enter the information as it appears on your personal health record
- Use DD/MM/YYYY for your date of birth, e.g., 31/02/1985
- Use all capitals for your postal code and a space in between, e.g., V2A 1V1
- Choose your own login name (no special characters)
- Set your security questions
- For your password, use a minimum of 10 characters. Include at least one lowercase letter, and at least one number
If you do not have your email on your electronic patient record or do not know if it was added, contact our Digital Health Support team 1-844-870-4756 to sign up for MyHealthPortal. We’re open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST, excluding statutory holidays.
You can also request to have your email address added to your electronic patient record at your next visit to an Interior Health site. Once your email is added to your record, you will receive an email valid for 12 hours with instructions on how to complete your enrolment in MyHealthPortal.
Mature minors (12-18 years old) may only sign up for a MyHealthPortal account if they are sufficiently mature to understand the information, through the support of a doctor or nurse practitioner.
How to request access
- Have a health-care provider (e.g. family physician, nurse practitioner) complete the Access for Mature Minors (12-18 years old) form
- Once the form is completed, contact us by email at myhealthportal@interiorhealth.ca to let us know that you have a completed the Mature Minor Access form and provide a contact number to reach you at. Do not email the form to Interior Health. We will provide instructions for you to securely send us the form.
Important: Mature minors cannot provide proxy access to their patient portal (that is, access by another adult). When a mature minor reaches the age of majority (19 years old), they will receive notice via email they can now allow proxy access to another adult (including a parent or legal guardian).

All access to a minor’s information is provided through the parent or guardian’s MyHealthPortal account.
How to request access
- Ensure that you, as the parent, have already enrolled for a MyHealthPortal account.
- If the relationship between you and the minor is considered straightforward (the minor is living at the same address as you and the minor has you listed as either next of kin or person to notify on their electronic medical record), complete the Declaration of Status to Access MyHealthPortal Form, noting that:
- After clicking on the file link, please save the file on your computer by clicking the download button or right clicking and pressing "save as." You will not be able to add your signature if you fill out the form online, which is required.
- Open the file on the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat and fill out the fields
- Contact us by email at myhealthportal@interiorhealth.ca to let us know that you have a completed Declaration of Status to Access MyHealthPortal Form and provide a contact number to reach you at. Do not email the form – we will provide instructions for you to securely send us the form.
- If the relationship is not straightforward, bring the completed Declaration of Status to Access MyHealthPortal Form and any supporting documentation that proves legal guardianship, to your local Health Records department at an Interior Health hospital.

You may request access to an incapable minor (12-18 years old) or an incapable adult (19 years or older) health information if they are considered incapable of exercising their information rights due to permanent mental and/or physical disability and you have the legal authority to do so. Access is provided through the parent or legal guardians MyHealthPortal account.
How to request access
- Ensure that you, as the parent or legal guardian, have already enrolled for a MyHealthPortal account
- Complete the Declaration of Status to Access MyHealthPortal Form
- Submit the form and all supporting document by one of the following ways:
- Take the completed MyHealthPortal Access form and a copy of the appropriate Representation Agreement or Legal Authority to the Health Records department at your local Interior Health hospital to verify.
- Email myhealthportal@interiorhealth.ca to let us know you have the completed form and any supporting documents in electronic form (e.g. scanned). Do not email the form. We will provide instructions for you to securely send us any documents. Please provide a contact number to reach you at.

Installing the MyHealthPortal app
After you’ve signed up for MyHealthPortal, you can access your account on your Android or Apple device with the MEDITECH MHealth app.
- To download and install the MyHealthPortal app, find MEDITECH MHealth in the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (Apple).
- Install or Get the app.
- Once you install the app, search for MyHealthPortal.
- Log in to your account, called the Health Portal, using your logon ID and password.
MyHealthPortal logon ID or password reset
You can reset your MyHealthPortal logon ID and password if you forget your information, or if you've attempted to log on too many times and have locked your account.
In order to reset your logon ID or password, you will be required to answer your security questions correctly. If at anytime you require assistance, please contact Digital Health Support at 1-844-870-4756 Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST, and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST.

Downtimes and known technical issues
Issue #1: Reports may appear blank when using older iOS versions on Apple devices. It is recommended that your Apple device is update to at least version 14.4.1.
Issue #2: Internet Explorer is no longer supported by MyHealthPortal. We recommend using the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari when accessing MyHealthPortal.
Issue #3: Some reports will not display if using the MHealth app on Samsung devices. Please use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari to access MyHealthPortal instead of using the MHealth App.
