Cindy Cota is dynamic, people-centric, kind, loving and, according to her friends, a true mama bear.
Cindy was originally born in Weyburn, Sask. before moving to Northern B.C. Cindy and her husband then moved to the Interior and have been married for almost 30 years.
One of Cindy’s proudest moments at Interior Health was her promotion to accounts receivable (AR) supervisor and becoming a first aid attendant. She is now looking forward to furthering her career with IH by learning and growing her skills in the workplace.
I love the people I work with - I love to come to work every day and see the smiling faces. I have the best team here at AR and we work so cohesively together. It is hard to not to be inspired by the diversity of the department as well.
Cindy loves to spend her free time crocheting, camping and enjoying the outdoors. But the one thing that Cindy especially loves to do is spend time with her grandchildren. Cindy and her husband of almost 30 years have seven grandchildren and recently welcomed their first great granddaughter.
Cindy and her husband are also home share providers. They’ve welcomed two young men with developmental disabilities into their home and are taking the time to teach them new life skills. Cindy says while it’s been a new challenge for her and her husband, it’s also been the most rewarding.
