Creston and area residents are advised of temporary changes to emergency department hours at Creston Valley Hospital due to limited nursing availability.
Emergency services will be unavailable from 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 to 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 21. Patients can access care at East Kootenay Regional Hospital located at 13-24 Ave N., Cranbrook.
All other inpatient services will continue as normal at Creston Valley Hospital.
People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
