About Kamloops Urgent Primary Care and Learning Centre (UPCC)
The Kamloops Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals in Kamloops who require same-day attention.
Care is available for concerns such as:
- Minor injuries
- Sprains and strains
- Infections
- Less serious child illness and injury
- High fever
- Cuts, wounds or skin conditions
If you do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or you are unable to get an appointment with your care provider that day, you can visit the UPCC. A health-care team is available to provide care for your health issues.
You may see one or more of the following health professionals depending on your care needs:
- Family physician
- Nurse practitioner
- Registered nurse
- Social worker
- Physiotherapist
- Mental health and substance use clinicians
People must book an appointment to be seen at the Kamloops UPCC, as it is does not accept walk-ins. Call 250-314-2256 to speak with our staff before being booked for an appointment. The UPCC is open Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (including statutory holidays) and phone lines open daily at 10 a.m.
